Million Dollar Ideas

You’ve probably had at leaBIC099st one million dollar idea in your lifetime, right? In fact, I imagine you might have even had ten or even a hundred of them. Some people will even attest that they saw their idea ‘in the flesh’ on a store shelf or for sale on the internet not too long after they had it… and they got no credit or made no money for the incredible idea they had. For instance, I remember telling my dad in the early 1980’s about an idea I had for an umbrella that not only opens, but also closes at the touch of a button. I knew people would buy it, because it was practical, useful and would provide ease. I remember trying to figure out the mechanics of this umbrella and saw myself owning the patent and selling millions and millions of them. About a year after I had this million dollar idea I saw the very product in a store and knew somebody somewhere was making a bundle. So, if we’re all having all these great million dollar ideas, where are all the millionaires?

Ideas are a Dime a Dozen

It’s true… an idea in and of itself is not worth anything. It’s what comes after the idea that makes all the difference.  An idea without action is simply a dream.  It is out there in the ethers and it is ripe for the taking. In fact, I am not sure there are any truly unique, one-of-a-kind ideas anyway. I believe that all information, all thoughts and all visions are in the universal consciousness and it is our desire and free and open thinking that brings the ‘idea’ into our minds. But it takes more than the thought and the desire to manifest an idea.

Actions Bring Ideas to Life

So, if you think you have a million dollar idea and you want the million dollars to come along with it, you must take action. The first step is to develop a complete vision for your idea. Consider all aspects, do some research and imagine your idea being put into use in real world situations. See your idea made manifest and solving a problem that exists. You must then formulate in your mind the steps to bring it to life – create a business plan, do a drawing, make an outline or whatever is appropriate to put it in the works. Then, focus and take real action. If your vision and plan is strong enough, you’ll be drawn to people, situations and events to make it happen with ease and the excitement will continue to build. Keep your vision top of mind each day and allow yourself to go with the flow of what shows up in front of you.

NOTE: Your million dollar idea may not be about money at all, and instead it is purely altruistic. The same principles apply, so work it Girl!
